  <p>Information: Robert Donald Sams, 71, of Murraysville, died May 22, 1988, in St. Joseph&#39;s Hospital, Parkersburg, following a long illness.  He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late Thomas J. Sams and Ida Mae Sams.  He was a member of the Milhoan Ridge Baptist Church and retired from National Steel, Lorraine, Ohio.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.  He is survived by his wife, Florence Snyder Sams; two sons, Donald Sams and Fred Sams, both of Lorraine; six daughters, Loretta Hoselton and Caroline Hoselton, both of Murraysville, Alice Hunter and Linda Shelwick, both of Cleveland, Ohio, Genevieve McKenney and Connie Linch, both of Lorraine, 27 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. Services will be today (Wednesday) 2 p.m. at Straight-Tucker Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with the Rev. Darrell Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Ravenswood Cemetery.</p>
