Information: Mrs. Esther Pearl Sams, 67, of Rt. 1, Ripley, died Saturday evening at her home after an extended illness.  She was born in Ripley, daughter of the late George H. and Mary Faren Wilson.  She was a homemaker and a Protestant.  Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Mary Siffel of Everettsville, Ill., Mrs. Barbara Hutchinson and Mrs. Sherry Archer of Sandyville, Mrs. Essie Stephenson of Mansfield, Ohio, Mrs. Joanette Anderson, Mrs. Carrie Millenix and Mrs. Violet Ray, of Ripley; four sons, Lonnie of Ravenswood, Homer of Deerfield, Ohio and Raymond and Roland of Ripley; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Williams of Seckaloa, Mo., and Mrs. Lucille Mahan of Ravenswood; one brother, Elmer Wilson of Ravenswood, and several grandchildren.  Services were held Tuesday at the Straight-Tucker funeral home with the Rev. William Sullivan officiating. Burial was in Flatwood Cemetery.
