Information: Claymore Rowley, 76, of 714 Fleming Street, Ravenswood, died January 16, 1995 at his home. He was born in Ravenswood, April 24, 1918, son of the late Henry Clay Rowley and Lillian Ent Rowley. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was employed at Jackson County Bank, son of Civil War veteran, member of First United Methodist Church, Ravenswood, president of Jackson County Bank from 1967 to 1983, current Chairman of the Board, served on State Banking Commission, member of Ashton Lodge #12 AF & AM, Dowell Commandery #28, Jackson Chapter #48, Shrine and Scottish Rite. He was an accomplished woodworker. He is survived by his wife, Beryl Worthington Rowley, Ravenswood; two daughters, Elaine (Olin) Shockey, Ravenswood and Rhoda (Michael) McCormick, Cincinnati, OH; four grandchildren, Julie and Dan Shockey, Ravenswood and Scott and Brian McCormick, Cincinnati, OH; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, William Patrick and Mike. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, at First United Methodist Church, Flinn Street, Ravenswood, with the Rev. Dr. Dan Hogan officiating. Burial will be at Ravenswood Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Friends may call at Straight-Tucker & Roush Funeral Home, Wednesday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
