Information: Word reached here last week of the death of Miss Ella Rowan on December 15, 1935, at her home in Breckenridge, Missouri, where she had lived for several years. She had made her home with her brother, A. W. Rowan, since going there five years ago. The funeral services were held on the following Monday at the Baptist church there with the Rev. A. P. Sergpiehl, formerly of Parkersburg, officiating. Interment was in the Rose Hill cemetery there. Miss Rowan was born in West Virginia in 1865, the daughter of Archibald and Sarah J. Rowan, and was one of eleven children, six brothers and four sisters. Surviving are Archibald Rowan, of Breckenridge, William Rowan, of Ohio, Edward Rowan, of West Virginia, Elizabeth Balser, of Beaver, Pa., and Addie Bailey of Parkersburg, W. Va. Miss Rowan united with the United Brethren church when she was sixteen years of age. When she was about sixty years of age she went to make her home with her brother.
