Information: Burial services for Fred D. Robinson, 63, former Jackson countian who died at a Clarksburg hospital Friday after being critically ill for several days, were held at Ravenswood Monday afternoon and the burial was in the cemetery there. The regular funeral service had been held at the Methodist Church at Grafton on Sunday. Mr. Robinson, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Robinson, was born at Medina in Jackson County, grew to manhood there and became a well known public school teacher. He later went to Grafton to teach and later became principal of the elementary school there, a position he held at the time of his death. He was united in marriage to the former Mary Ellen Archer, a daughter of Michael H. Archer of Sandyville. Mrs. Robinson and a daughter, Mrs. Mary Margaret Wilson (born 2 June 1917, married R. Edwin Wilson) of Pittsburgh, Pa. survive. Their only son, Lt. Francis Clay Robinson (born 27 Aug 1915) was killed in action in World War II. (Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection)
