Information: Last rites for Curtis Robinson, 69 year old retired minister, were held from the United Brethren church in Ripley on Saturday, December 26th and the body was taken to the Odd Fellows cemetery in Parkersburg where it was interred in the mausoleum in that cemetery. Rev. Fred Slaughter conducted the services, assisted by Rev. R. T. Gettys, pastor of the Presbyterian church in Ravenswood.  He had been ill for four weeks prior to his death and had been a patient in a Parkersburg hospital for several days.  The body was brought to his home in Ripley where it remained until it was taken to the church at 11 o'clock on the day of the funeral.  The Rev. Mr. Robinson was born in Harrison county, Novemer 4, 1867.  He entered the ministry when he was nineteen years old and until sixteen years ago served pastorates in the United Brethren conference.  He then became affilitated with the Presbyterian denomination and served many of it's churches in this state until he retired four years ago.  He also held pastorates in Pennsylvania and Ohio.  Since retiring he had made his home at Ripley.  He married Miss Blanche McHenry in 1894.  Surviving are his wife and son, Carl, a graduate of West Point Military Academy, who is convalescing from an illness in the Army Hospital at Hot Springs, Arkansas.  Rev. Mr. Robinson was a member of the K and P Lodge for 42 years.  [Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection]
