Information: Ruth Elva Robbins, 79, of Ripley, died in Jackson General Hospital after a brief illness.  She was born in Frozencamp, a daughter of the late John and Montoria Sims Snyder.  She was a housewife and Protestant by faith.  She is survived by one daughter, Mary Estep of Ripley; one sister, Virgie Patterson of Marietta; four grandchildren, Lisa Landis of Winchester, VA, Melanie Anderson, Jason Anderson and Angie Anderson, all of Ripley.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Riley Robbins.  Services were Friday at Parsons Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial was in the Independence Cemetery, Sandyville.
