Information: W. S. RITCHIE DIES; RITES TO BE FRIDAY - Services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 pm at the First Methodist Church here for William Smith ""Bood"" Ritchie, Sr., 68, who died Tuesday night at Charleston Memorial Hospital. Masonic gravesite services will be at the Ravenswood Cemetery. The son of the late Arthur and Laura Smith Ritchie, he was born at Portland, Ohio, November 23, 1898. President of the Jackson County Bank and vice-president of Boso and Ritchie, Ritchie was a former mayor of Ravenswood and a former member of the Jackson County Board of Education. He was also a member of the First Methodist Church of Ravenswood, and the following Masonic Lodges: Ashton Lodge No. 12, A.F. & A.M.; Jackson Chapter No. 48, R.A.M.; Dowell Commandery No. 28, K.T.; Royal Order of Jesters of Parkersburg and Nemesis Temple Shrine of Parkersburg. He was a graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in Civil Engineering. Ritchie is survived by his wife, Myrtle Twiggs Ritchie, Ravenswood; one daughter, Dr. June Ritchie Chambers, Charleston; two sons, W. S. Ritchie, Jr. and Ray R. Ritchie, both of Ravenswood; two sisters, Miss Golda Ritchie and Mrs. Virgil Flinn, both of Ravenswood; one brother, Ray E. Ritchie, Ravenswood, and 10 grandchildren. The body is at Chambers Funeral Home here and persons may call there this afternoon and evening.
