Information: Pearle Huey Ritchie, 94, died Monday, Dec. 1, in Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, N. J., after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Ray E. Ritchie and the daughter of the late Harmon W. and Lola Righter Huey. She was born in Reedy, W. Va. on April 14, 1892 where her father operated a mill. She and her sister Beth and brother Kay were tutored in the home in early years. Then the family moved to Ravenswood so the children could attend public school. Upon graduation from high school, she attended Marshall College, graduating in the class of 1910. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, serving as organist and treasurer for many years. Later she was a member of First United Methodist Church and served as treasurer and a member of the board of trustees. She was a charter member of the Woman's Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She had a great love for her family and friends, her church and her community. She is survived by a son, Arthur H. Ritchie, Little Rock, Ark. and a daughter, Jeanne Lambertson, Basking Ridge, N. J. and seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church, at the corner of Flinn and Fitzhugh in Ravenswood, with the Rev. Samuel Starling, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Ravenswood Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p,m, tomorrow at Straight-Tucker Funeral Home, Ravenswood.
