Information: STROKE FATAL TO RITCHIE - A. C. Ritchie, better known to his legion of friends as ""Art"" Ritchie, died at his home in Ravenswood about four o'clock last Saturday morning as the result of a stroke of paralysis. He was 76 years old. Mr. Ritchie was found unconscious at his office in Ravenswood early Friday morning and was removed to his home but members of the family said that he never regained consciousness. He was the father of State Senator Ray E. Ritchie and Mrs. Virgil L. Flinn. He was a farmer and a miller by trade and for many years operated mills at Portland, Ohio and at Ravenswood. During recent years he had operated the Ravenswood Creamery and Ice Company and was the Coca Cola distributor in this territory and was also interested in the contracting firm of Boso and Ritchie. During the twenty-five years Mr. Ritchie was a resident of the town of Ravenswood he did much for the town and was one of its leading citizens. His neighbors and friends said that he had been a ""builder"" because as they pointed out he built several of the good buildings of the town, was a public spirited citizen and was always found in the front rank in any movement which had for its aim the improvement of the town in which he lived. The funeral services were held in Ravenswood Sunday afternoon and a large crowd of friends and business associates were in attendance to pay their last respects. The burial was in the Ravenswood cemetery.
