  <p>Information: Delmer C. Riggs, 96, of Sandyville WV, passed away Monday, February 23, 2015, at Ravenswood Village, Ravenswood, while surrounded by his family, following a brief illness.  He was born September 17, 1918, in Sandyville, one son of eighteen children of the late Alva and Maggie Loa (Dailey) Riggs.  Eleven brothers and five sisters also preceded him in death.  He was a decorated World War II United States Army veteran and served with the 23rd Armored Infantry Battalion, 5th Armored Division in the European Theater.  Delmer was a former construction worker and retired from the finishing department at Kaiser Aluminum.  He was a member of United Steelworkers Union Local #5668, was a farmer, loved to fox hunt and he enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.         Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Dorothy Elizabeth (Angus) Carmichael Riggs; children, Gary Riggs (Ann) and Cindy Riggs, all of Sandyville; brother, Ralph Riggs of Ravenswood; grandson, James Riggs (Kristy) of Lockhart Fork; granddaughter, Carrie Miihlbach (Jason) of Medina; great-grandchildren, Emily, Brandt, Colton and Preston Riggs, and Milea Miihlbach; step-daughters, Shirley Wines and Patty Wells (Larry) of Sandyville; step-grandchildren, Mike Wells, Alan Wells (Lisa), Mary Ann Clemente (Keith) and Heather Sparks (Roger); step-great-grandchildren, Cody Goff, Aiden and Alex Wells, and a very good friend, Lori Bradley. Private service will be held at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Ravenswood WV, with his brother-in-law, Seldon Angus, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Drift Run Cemetery, Sandyville WV.  Email condolences may be sent to: castofh@gmail.com.</p>
