Information: GALION, OH - Luther Rhodes, Jr., 72, of 5705 Rt. 309, Galion, Ohio, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening, September 22, 1999 at Galion Community Hospital.  He was born October 14, 1926 in Jackson County WV.  He was the son of the late Luther and Iva Braham Rhodes of Given WV.  On August 27, 1948 he married Rosemary M. Duncan of Charleston and she survives.  He was a veteran of the US Army serving in World War II with the Battery B 209 Field Artillery Battalion as a cannoneer.  He was a retired employee of General Motors Corp.  He was a tool and die maker for 31 years.      Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Troy Michael (Susan) Rhodes of Crestline and David Rhodes of Galion; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Ernest (Anna) Rhodes of St. Louis MO, Carl Rhodes (Cookie) of Ravenswood, Leon (Betty) Rhodes of Ripley, and James Wendall (Paula) Rhodes of Paducah KY; five sisters, Ruby Parsons of Evans, Marie Green of Ripley, Mae Randolph of Given, Velma Landis, Ashtabula OH, and Hazel (Gerald) Randolph of Galion, OH.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Braham (1998).  Services were held at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home in Galion on September 25, 1999 with the Reverend Louis Boston officiating.  Interment followed at Crawford County Memory Gardens in Crestline OH.
