  <p>Information: John Rhodes, 81, of Ripley, died Jan. 2, 1991 after a short illness.  He was a car dealer, operating Rhodes&#39; Used Cars for 40 years, former owner of Given Store and a dairy farmer.  Surviving:  daughter, Wilma Lee Sayre of Cottageville; brother, Everette of Ripley; grandchildren, Wayne L. Sayre of Pt. Pleasant, John P. Sayre of Cottageville, Max A. Sayre of Ripley, Lelia J. Elswick of West Milford, WV; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife, Alice Rhodes.  Services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Parsons Funeral Home with Rev. Lawrence Parsons officiating.  Burial will be in Shinn-Webster Cemetery, Angel Ridge, Fairplain.  Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m.</p>
