  <p>Information: RIPLEY - Eugene O. Rhodes, 78, of Ripley, went to be with the Lord, December 30, 2010, at his home following a long illness.  He was born February 3, 1932 at Belgrove, a son of the late Thomas and Mary Casto Rhodes.  He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and worked in construction.  He attended the Salt HIll Church in Ripley.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ellen Landis Rhodes; sons, Ricky (Jackie) Rhodes of Big Chimney and Jason Rhodes of Ripley; daughters, Veronica (Randy) Fisher of Ripley, Margaret (Jay) Hambrick of Parkersburg and Regina Harrison of Kenna; brother, Ronald Rhodes of Washington DC; sister, Hazel Raines of Cross Lanes.  Also survived by nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, a brother, Bradford Rhodes, preceded him in death.  Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley.  Burial with military rites provided by Ripley American Legion Post 107 will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery.  Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.</p>
