  <p>Information: Elmer ""Peppermint"" Rhodes, 90, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 1990, at the Ravenswood Village Nursing Home, after a long illness.  He was born at Gay, Jackson County, to the late Luther E. and Elizabeth Dove Evans Rhodes.  He was a storekeeper.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Vada McConley Rhodes.  He is survived by one son, Bob Rhodes of Ravenswood; one daughter, Mrs. Juanita Langford of Ripley; five sisters, Mrs. Wilma Sheets and Hester Littleton, both of Charleston, Hazel Wood of Stonewood, WV, Jessie Roberts of Greensboro, PA, and Georgia Fry of Washington,PA; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.  Services were held Sunday at the Parsons Funeral Home Chapel in Ripley with the Rev. Darrell Johnson officiating.  Burial was in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Ripley.</p>
