Information: Bobby Lee Rhodes, 82, of Millwood, passed away February 24, 2015 at Jackson General Hospital following a long illness. He was born February 16, 1933 at Roane County, a son of the late Elihue and Blanche Riddle Rhodes. He was an Army veteran during the Korean Conflict and later a member of the Army Reserve Unit in Ripley. He retired in 1997 from Ravenswood Aluminum (formerly Kaiser Aluminum) and was a member of the United Steel Workers Union 5668. He faithfully attended the Ripley Baptist Temple. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret Showen Rhodes; sons, Timothy (Joyce) Rhodes of Millwood, David Rhodes of Columbus OH; daughters, Charla Rhodes of Millwood and Marsha (Jack) Linkinoggor of Spencer; grandchildren, Nathan Rhodes of Ft. Lauderdale FL, Scott Rhodes of Morgantown, Megan Cline of Barboursville and Kaden Linkinoggor of Spencer; and great-grandchild, Lincoln Cline. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Richards. Funeral service will be 2 pm Saturday, February 28, 2015, at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Roane County. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Friday, February 27, 2015, at the funeral home.
