  <p>Information: Alice Verl Rhodes, 89, of Fairplain, died Friday at Care Inn, Ripley, after a long illness.  She was a housewife and a member of the Ephesus Baptist Church, Fairplain.  Surviving:  husband, Orville; sons, Dencil of Arlington, Va., and Charles of Cleveland, Ohio; daughters, Mrs. Mildred Collins of Fairplain, Mrs. Ruth Glassner of Fairplain; Mrs. Nona Layne of Tyler Mountain; brothers, Fred Southall of Florida, Claude Southall of Charleston and Filbert Southall of Mt. Alto; sisters, Mrs. Coonie Casto of Gay, Mrs. Virginia Smallridge of Akron, Ohio; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Service was held Sunday at Parsons Funeral Home Chapel, Ripley.  Burial was in Ephesus Baptist Cemetery, Grass Lick.</p>
