  <p>Information: Harvey P. Rhoades, Jr., 84, of Ravenswood, went home to Heaven to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on December 15, 2011, at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston WV.  He was born on December 21, 1926 in Kanawha City WV, a son of the late Harvey Rhoades, Sr. and Gladys Beaver Rhoades.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Smith and Louise Bonham.  Harvey was an ordained deacon of the Second Baptist Church in Ravenswood.  He retired as a machinist from Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp. with over 24 years of service.  He enjoyed gardening and helping others with carpentry, especially his church building projects. He also enjoyed fishing and camping with family and spending time with his family.         Surviving are his spouse of 64 years, Freda Short Rhoades, Ravenswood WV; children, Steven and his wife, Elaine, Jacksonville FL, Dianna Maki and husband, Ronald, MaKinen MN, Brenda Radtke and husband, Tom, Willmar MN, Kathy Gibson and husband, Dean, Aurora MN; sister, Gloria McClung, Clarksburg WV; brother, Conrad Rhoades and his wife, Velma, Crestview FL; six grandchildren, Aaron, Jeremy, Julie, Joshua, Emily and Aleah; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  Services will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, Ravenswood WV with Pastor S. Richard Parsons, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery, Ravenswood WV.  Friends may visit the family at the church on Wednesday, December 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to service on Thursday.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at roush94@yahoo.com. or on our website at www.joeroushfuneralhome.com.</p>
