Information: Opal Ressegger, 95, of Ravenswood WV, died Wednesday, October 23, 2002, at Eldercare of Ripley WV.  She was born February 9, 1907, in Tyler County WV, a daughter of the late Thomas Way and Maude Mae Mitchell Turner.  She was a homemaker, pottery worker and dental assistant.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Ravenswood, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women.  She was a member of the Webster Springs Women's Club, and she was a councilwoman in Webster Springs, the first woman in that capacity.  She is survived by her son, Lewis W. Ressegger, Ravenswood; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy R. Green and her husband, Eugene R. Green, of Warren OH; six grandchildren, Pam Green, Warren OH, Lisa Green Carson, Akron OH, Mike Ressegger, Wentzville MO, David Ressegger, Debbie Ressegger Sanders, and C. W. Ressegger, all of Bluffton MN; several great-grandchildren; sister, Hazel Wallace, Oregon; brothers, Bobby Turner, Cuba, H. Tommy Turner, Eastern WV, and Gale Turner, Pekin IL.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Omar C. Ressegger; several brothers and sisters; and one son, Omar C. Ressegger.  Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 26, at the First United Methodist Church, Ravenswood, with Rev. Richard D. Cottrill officiating.  Burial in the Ravenswood Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church or Habitat for Humanity.  Arrangements by Roush Funeral Home of Ravenswood.
