  <p>Information: RIPLEY - William Glen Reed, 82, of Ripley, departed this life August 21, 2011, in the Ravenswood Village, Ravenswood WV, following an extended illness.  He was born September 23, 1928 in Parkersburg WV, a son of the late Walter and Frances (Hart) Reed.  His brothers, Robert and Paul, also preceded him in death.  He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, was retired from Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corporation as a millwright and was a member of United Steelworkers of America, Local #5668.  He attended Parchment Valley Baptist Church, Ripley.  Survivors include his sons, William Steve Reed of WV, Mark Reed of Manchester MI, Gary Reed of Ripley WV, Glen Reed of NC; step-sons, Jody Smith and Jeff Smith, both of NC; daughters, Patricia Rettig of Napoleon OH, Kathy Albano of Monroe MI, Teresa Winters of Ripley WV and Mona Hull of Ravenswood WV; sister, Dorothy Reynolds of Ripley WV; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Funeral services were held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2011, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans WV, with Pastor Herman Robinson and the Rev. Darrell Tackett officiating.  Burial was in the West Virginia National Cemetery, Grafton WV at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2011.  Visitation was from 5 p.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.  Condolences may be sent to castofh@gmail.com.</p>
