Information: GIVEN - L. Gladys Reed, 91, of Given, Jackson County, died Jan. 11, 1999, in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, after a long illness.  She was a homemaker.  Surviving;  sons, Dencil of Canton, Rex of Ripley; daughters, Dessil Slaughter and Ella Jane Cochran, both of Kenna, Margaret Boggess of Ripley; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.  Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Emma Chapel Church, Liberty, with the Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating.  Burial will be in Emma Chapel Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, and one hour prior to service at the church.
