  <p>Information: Geraldine Maxine Staats Reed, 68, of South Charleston, died Jan. 23, 1999, in Eldercare of Ripley after a long illness.  She was a former employee of Libbey-Owens-Ford, Charleston, was a Protestant and a 49-year resident of South Charleston.  Surviving: daugher, Hazel Marie Massie of South Charleston; sons, Michael Eugene of Orlando, Fla., William Earl of Charleston S.C.; sisters, Mary Jane Moore of South Charleston, Corrine Lewis Dayton of Louisville, Ohio; brother Luther Staats of Charleston; six grandchildren.  Service will be 11a.m. Tuesday at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans, with the Rev. John E. Allen officiating.  Burial will be in Teays Hill Cemetery, St. Albans.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.</p>
