  <p>Information: Edgar Earl Reed, 78, of Vienna, died at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, early Sunday morning, Oct. 16, 1988.  He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late Thomas and Estella Truman Reed.  He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.  From 1950 to 1972 he was employed by the Keene Corp., prior to that he was employed at the Nicker Bocker Stamping Co.  He was a member of the Steelworkers Union Local No. 1260 and the Parkersburg Senior Citizens and the DAV.  Survivors include one son, Edward Earl Reed of Vienna; stepson, James A. Hardman of Parkersburg; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.  He was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara J. Campbell; and several brothers and sisters.  Services were Tuesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Paul Lanier Jr. officiating.  Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Williamstown.</p>
