Information: Funeral services for Mrs. Jane Rankin Rector, 89 year old Ravenswood resident, who died Saturday morning following a short illness, were held at 3 o' clock Monday morning at the Methodist church in Ravenswood.  Mrs. Rector, who had been residing with her daughter, Mrs. Frank Fleming at Ravenswood, became ill Wednesday.  She was one of the oldest residents of the town and was a lifelong member of the Methodist church.  Mrs. Rector was born at Powhattan, Ohio, April 15, 1851, a daughter of Eliza and John Rankin, who was a grandson of Lord Roderick Rankin of Dublin, Ireland.  Early in life she moved with her parents to Jackson county where she lived until her death.  In 1873 she was married to William Lafayette Rector of Sherman, this county.  Her husband died in 1936.  Two daughters, Mrs. Willa Chenoweth, of Akron, and Mrs. Adele Bryan preceded her in death.  She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. J.W. Flinn and Mrs. A.C. Price, of Parkersburg, Mrs. Frank Fleming, of Ravenswood, and Mrs. Agnes Polk, of Portland, Ohio; a son, Ernest W. Rector, of Parkersburg, and a nephew, Edgar Rankin, of Parkersburg.
