  <p>Information: HERBERT RAWLING TAKEN BY DEATH - Herbert Rawlings, 76-year old Ripley citizen, died in a Spencer hospital early Tuesday morning after a long illness.  Since his retirement several years ago, Mr. Rawlings had spent his winters in Florida, returning here each spring to look after his business interests.  He was born at Kentuck on April 28, 1886, a son of Robert and Eliza Jane Rawlings.  His wife, Lula Rawlings, a son, Dayton, and two infant children preceded him in death.  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Beryl Shamblen of Aripeka, Florida, who is in South America visiting her daughter at the present time; four sons, Okey and Stanley, both of Ripley, George of Charleston, and Franklin of Nitro; thirteen grandchildren and a sister in Pensacola, Florida.  The body is at the Vail funeral home and the funeral service will be held at the Ripley Tabernacle with Rev. Robert Evans officiating Thursday at 2 p.m.</p>
