Information: Melvin Clair ""Jack"" Rardin, 68, of Farmville, Virginia, died Saturday, May 25, 1985.  He was the beloved husband of Geraldine Rardin; father of Patsy J. Summerlin, New Port Richey, Fla., and Jackie L. Anderson, Glenn Dale, Md.; brother, Lewis C. Rardin, Sherman, Charles Lindy Rardin, Oak Hill, Fla., Kenna L. Rardin, Millwood, Carl E. Rardin, Point Pleasant and Betty L. Thompson, Palm Bay, Fla.  Also surviving are four grandchildren.  A son of the late Everett C. and Mary Bever Rardin, he was born at Sherman, W. Va. and graduated from Ravenswood High School.  A member of the Baptist church, he was a retired Navy veteran of 15 years and retired from the Naval Research Laboratories, Washington, D. C. after 20 years of service.  He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.  Friends and relatives were received at Shorter's Funeral Home, Farmville, VA, Monday, May 27, and at Howard Hales Lanham Funeral Home, Lanham, Md., Tuesday, May 28, where services were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment was in Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Bladensburg, Md.
