Information: Mrs. Rardin, widow of Samuel Rardin, deceased for five years, passed to rest at her home on Little Sandy on the 2nd inst. from grip and heart trouble.  Her maiden name was Burch, she was born December 1, 1842, married September 3, 1865, and is survived by nine children, one of whom is County Superintendent Porter H. Rardin.  She was a most estimable lady, and a member of the M.E. church for forty years.  Burial at the family graveyard on Little Sandy, after services by Rev. I. N. Smith.
