Information: Mrs. Phoebe C. Ranson, 94, of Liberty, a retired school teacher, died last Tuesday in Thomas Memorial Hospital after a one-day illness.  Mrs. Ranson taught school at Liberty and Layne schools in the Liberty area, when the only transportation was horseback.  She was a charter member and active member at the Emma Chapel Church for 70 years.  Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Leatha A. Sayre Weaver of Lancaster, Ohio.  The funeral service was at Emma Chapel Thursday and burial was in the family cemetery.
