Information: MRS. G. W. RANKIN DIED SUNDAY - Mary Elizabeth Rankin, wife of George W. Rankin, of Stone Lick, passed away at her home there last Sunday after an illness of several weeks which was caused by her advanced age.  She was born near Ripley, January 26, 1844, and at the time of her death was 81 years, 2 months and 3 days of age.  On March 24, 1881, she was united in marriage to George W. Rankin and to this union two children, Oscar Rankin of Kenna and Grace Rankin, at home, were born.  In addition to these children, she leaves to mourn their loss her husband, four brothers, W. W. Riley of Point Pleasant, M. F. Riley of Catonsville, Md., P. M. Riley and R. R. Riley, of Ripley and Mrs. J. W. McCoy of Letart.      At the early age of twenty-two years, Mrs. Rankin joined the United Brethren church and remained a consistent christian throughout her life, which covered a long span of years.  The remains were brought to Oak Hill Tuesday where the funeral services were conducted by Rev. T. L. Miles, of the Ripley U. B. church, and the remains were then taken to the Riley cemetery near Oak Hill for interment..
