Information: RANKIN RITES HELD AT OAK HILL-GEORGE W. RANKIN IS TAKEN AT KENNA HOME - George W. Rankin, aged resident of Stone Lick, died at his home at one o'clock Wednesday morning after a long illness.  Mr. Rankin had been in failing health since last January.  He was 89 years old. Mr. Rankin was born January 15, 1852, in Pocahontas county, a son of Thomas J. and Elizabeth Rankin.  The greater part of his life was spent in the Kenna section occupied in farming.  Surviving are one son, O. B. Rankin of Kenna, and one daughter, Grace Rankin, with whom he made his home.  Five grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.  Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) morning at 10:30 o'clock at Oak Hill. The services will be conducted by Rev. L. R. Mahoney, pastor of the Ripley United Brethren church.  Burial will be in the Riley cemetery, with the Vail mortuary in charge.
