Information: ILLNESS FATAL TO EVALYN RANKIN - Mrs. Evalyn Rankin, 84-year-old resident of Ripley, died Tuesday morning at the Staats Hospital in Charleston where she had been a patient for the past seven weeks.  She was born at Evans on January 24, 1873, a daughter of the late Nathan and Mary Stewart.  She married G. M. Rankin, who preceded her in death, and they lived for many years on a Stone Ridge farm near Ripley.  She was a member of the E.U.B. church at Mt. Moriah.  Survivors include a son, Walter Rankin of Huntington; three daughters, Mrs. Edna Lett of Poca, Mrs. Dora King of Nitro, and Mrs. Marie Wandling of Ripley; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Stone of Ripley, Mrs. Nana Sayre Casto of Evans, and Mrs. Georgia Tucker of Columbus; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  The body is at the Parsons funeral home in Ripley where the funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Homer Hicks officiating, and the burial will be in the Otterbein cemetery.
