Information: RAKE FUNERAL HELD FRIDAY - RITES FOR MARION RAKE HELD AT MEADOWDALE CHURCH - Funeral services for William Marion Rake, of Liverpool, were held from the Meadowdale church last Friday with the Rev. Charles Taylor of Parkersburg in charge and burial was in the Fairview cemetery. Mr. Rake died at his home there earlier in the week at the age of 86 years. He had been in failing health for some time and during the past few weeks his condition had been such that death was expected, neighbors from that community reported. He was a native of Duck Creek, Ohio, a son of Daniel and Mary Rake, and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was united in marriage to Gussie A. Ratcliff, August 1, 1878, who proceded him in death. To this union, two children were born, Mrs. Mary Derenberger and Mrs. Nancy Anne Manpin, who also preceded him in death. He married Lucy Mildred Manpin May 20, 1890. To this union six children were born. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Maston and Mrs. Alice Dillon; three sons, George, at home, John of Belleville and Henry of Liverpool; two sisters, Mrs. William Hupp of Ravenswood and Mrs. George Smith of Sandyville; one brother, Ralph Rake of Williamstown; nineteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
