Information: John C. Rake, 78, of Mineral Wells, died December 25 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.  He was born Dec. 4, 1893 in Jackson County, son of the late Marion T. and Lucy Maupine Rake.  He retired in 1963 from the Union Insulating. Co.  He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Opal Hartley Rake; four sons, Marion, Dale and Paul, all of Parkersburg, and Danny, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Shively, Mrs. Esther Boyd, both of Parkersburg; 16 grandchildren; and one sister, Miss Alice Rake of Sandyville.  He was preceded in death by several brothers and one sister.
