  <p>Information: Ruby Elene Raines, 76, of Ripley, died Friday, January 18, 2002, at her home.  She was born July 9, 1925, in Leroy, a daughter of the late Lester and Belva Harmon Comer.  She was a homemaker, a member of the Ripley Baptist Temple Church, and was retired from Jackson General Hospital as a nurse&#39;s assistant.  She is survived by one son, Ernest Raines and wife, Diane, of Ripley; one sister, Dorothy Page, of Ripley; grandchildren, Chuck and Sonja Raines of Ripley, Ernie and fiancee, Carey Nester, of Charlottesville VA; and great-grandchild, Kayle Raines, of Ripley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Otis Raines.  Services were held Sunday at Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home in Ripley, with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating.  Burial in Fairplain Cemetery.</p>
