  <p>Information:      Ava L. Rhodes Raines, 96, of Kenna was called home to be with the Lord Dec. 9, 2001, at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley.  She was born February 23, 1905 at Belgrove, a daughter of the late Matt and Ora Dell Parsons Rhodes.  She was a housewife and a member of the Warren Chapel United Methodist Church. She love to quilt with the ladies&#39; aid at the church.  Along with her parents she was proceded in death by her husband, Dallas Raines; a daughter, Gay Lucille Raines;  two brothers, Delbert and Denver Rhodes; and two sisters, Alma Whited and Amy Stine.  She is survivd by her sons, Donald Raines of Kenna, Lee Raines of Sissonville; daughters, Carol McKemy of Kenna, Lorain Stogdon of South Charleston; brother, Denzil Rhodes of Ripley; sisters, Ima Anderson, Geraldine Willard, both of Charleston, Gladys Jones of Gandeville, Iva Critchfield of Belgorve; eight grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters.  Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Rev. Larry R. Jones officiating.  Burial will be at the Fairplain Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. </p>
