Information: Sterling L. Pullen, 75, of Ripley, died Saturday in Jackson General Hospital after a long illness.  He was a former mayor of Ripley, was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and Ripley Lions Club.  He was employed by the McClure Company in Charleston.  He is survived by his wife, Betty; son, Sterling L. Jr. of Sandyville; stepsons, Gerold Simmons of Spencer and Thomas Simmons of New Bern, N. C.; daughters, Mary Sue Skeen and Sarah Pullen both of Ripley, Barbara Cable of Hendersonville, N. C., Beverly Overton of Tampa, Fla.; stepdaughters, Vicki Stephens and Tammy Jones, both of Ravenswood, Terry Bess of Kenna; brother, John of Tacoma, Wash.; sister, Neva Neff of Hendersonville, N. C.; eight grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.  Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.
