  <p>Information: RAVENSWOOD - Mary (Cottrell) Pugh, 81, of Ravenswood WV, departed this life, July 31, 1998 at Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division, following a sudden illness.  She was born October 6, 1916 at Statts Mill, WV, a daughter of the late John W. and Rosa M. (Stephens) Cottrell.  She was a member of the Second Baptist Church, Ravenswood and was a homemaker.  Survivors include a brother, Oliver ""Buck"" Cottrell of Canton, OH; sisters, Amy Friend of Canton, OH, Edith Weekley of Ravenswood and Margarette Rist of Eagle Creek, OR; sisters-in-law, Thelma Cottrell of Ravenswood and Garnett Cottrell of Canton OH; several nieces and nephews.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Merle H. Pugh; brothers, Wilbur Cottrell and Jennings Cottrell; sisters, Roxie Fisher and Alpha Ritter.  Service was held Monday, August 3, 1998 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans WV with the Rev. Gerald B. Sayre and the Rev. Jack Gwinn officiating.  Burial in Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville WV.</p>
