Information: Raymond H. Puckett, died Dec. 28, 1995, at Jackson General Hospital after a short illness.  He was born November 8, 1908 at Three Forks of Sycamore, (Walters Run), Jackson County, a son of the late Edgar Finley and Amanda Cook Puckett.  He was a member of the Ripley Baptist Temple.  He was a builder and farmer.  He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army for three years and seven months, including over two years in major battles overseas working as a telephone linesman and operator.  He was awarded the Bronze Medal and also served as a barber while in the military.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Vivrett Puckett; brothers, Claude, Clair and Warren Harvey.  He is survived by brother, Floyd W. Puckett of Ripley; one niece, also of Ripley.  Services were held on December 30 at Vail Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Norris and Robert Hodges officiating.  Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery.
