Information: ILLNESS FATAL TO OTT PROVINCE - A. R. (Ott) Province, 85, Mineral Wells, died Friday at his residence, after a two-year illness. He was a retired farmer and an active member of the Republican party in Wood county.  He belonged to the Mt. Pleasant Methodist church, and was a former superintendent of the Sunday school.  Mr. Province was a veteran of the Spanish-American War.  Born Aug. 31, 1877, in Jackson county, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary McPherson Province.  Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nellie Archer Province; one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Opal) Finch, Mineral Wells; a son, Conrad H. Province, also of Mineral Wells; four brothers, Ben Province, Pittsburgh, Jess W. Province, Mineral Wells, Pearl W. Province, Melbourne, Australia and Walter D. Province, Parkersburg; four sisters, Mrs. William Huffman, Mineral Wells, Mrs. Susan Boice, Mrs. Belle Emerick and Mrs. Sada Stephens, all of Parkersburg.  One brother, John Province, and two sisters, Mrs. Ada Carr and Mrs. Emma Gault, are deceased.  Funeral services were held on Monday at the Leavett funeral home.  The Rev. Lehman Channel officiated and burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
