Death Notice:
Obituary Date: 1935-08-16
Information: Mrs. George W. Pringle, the widow of the late Rev. George W. Pringle, who during his lifetime was a widely known minister of the United Brethren denomination, died at her home in Cottageville early last Sunday morning after a long illness. Her condition had been serious for several days. She was 68 years, 7 months and 15 days old at the time of her death. Friends both at Cottageville and other sections of the county had watched with interest her fight to regain her health, but late last week the tide of battle turned and when the death message came it was not unexpected. Mrs. Pringle, who before her marriage was Miss Cora Alice Fisher, was married to the late Rev. Pringle on September 23, 1885 and six children were born to this union. The husband and one child preceded her in death. She is survived by the following children: Miss Eva Belle Pringle, of Huntington; Floyd Pringle, of Kenna; Mrs. Clara Howell and Mrs. Leah Dalton, both of Morgantown; and Mrs. Elah Casto, of Cottageville. Three sisters, one brother, 15 grandchildren and numerous other relatives survive. The funeral services were held at Cottageville Monday with Rev. E. E. Roush of the Cottageville United Brethren church in charge and burial followed in the cemetery there. [from the obit collection of Betty Kessel McIntyre]
