Information: Peggie Ann Chambers Presley, 74, of Cottageville WV, passed away peacefully at her home following an extended illness, February 13, 2015.  She was born August 31, 1940 in Selfville AL.  Her brothers, Travis Price and Edward Leroy Chambers, and a sister, Nila Mae Stewart, preceded her in death.  Peggie was a graduate of Locust Fork High School in Alabama, and later graduated from Opelika Business College.  She also attended Morris Harvey College, Charleston.  She was a retired postmaster and trainer form the United States Postal Service.  She worked in several post offices and served in several capacities during her career.  Her first position as postmaster was at Left Hand and later, Kenna, Evans and Gay.  She was a former member of the Jackson County Junior Women's Club and was recognized for her help with the mentally ill.  She also volunteered at Lakin Hospital.  She was a 48 year member of the Epworth United Methodist Church, Ripley, and a member of the United Methodist Women, where she assisted with providing meals to shut-ins.  Peggie enjoyed walking with her dogs, reading, gardening and cooking for her family.      Survivors include her husband of 54 years, James C. Presley; daughters, Kelli Hall of Cottageville and Joanna Stanfield of Pinson AL; sisters, Mary Jo Markum and Rebecca Cornelius, both of Huffman AL, and Martha Aderholt of Pelham AL; grandchildren, Katelin Wines, Amanda Wines, Brody Wines, Kayla Stanfield and Rachel Stanfield; great-grandchildren, Presley Wines and Harley Wines.  A private graveside service will be held at Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville WV, with the Rev. John Hardman officiating.  There will be no public services.  In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Kanawha Hospice Care.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Casto Funeral Home, Evans. WV.
