  <p>Information: Freda Kathern (Riggs) Powell, 94, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014 at Camden-Clark Medical Center.  She was born March 28, 1920, in Sandyville, a daughter of the late Alva and Maggie Loa (Dailey) Riggs.  Her husband, Howard Dennis Powell, Sr., son, Paul H. Powell, brothers, James, Albert, Sylvester, Ray, Eugene, Yancy, Walter, Calvin, Melvin, Russell Riggs, sisters, Norman, Clarabell, Ruth and Maggie, also preceded her in death.  She was a former employee of Goodyear Aircraft, a nurse&#39;s aid and a homemaker.  Survivors include her sons, Howard D. Powell, Jr. of Parkersburg, Walter L. Powell of White Heath, IL, Phillip Powell of OH, John Powell and Delmer Powell, both of Greenville, SC; daughters, Ella M. Bunch of Wyandotte, MI, Katherine A. Swafford of Parkersburg, Mary E. Nelson of Parkersburg, Karen M. Hall of Belpre, OH; brothers, Delmer Riggs of Sandyville and Ralph Riggs of Ravenswood; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Service will be 1 p.m. (today) Thursday, October 30, 2014, at the Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Ravenswood, WV, with the Rev. Lloyd Winans officiating.  Interment will be in the Drift Run Cemetery, Sandyville, WV.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home.  Email condolences may be sent to castofh@gmail.com.</p>
