Information: David E. Porter, 55, of Sandyville, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 1989, at home after a short illness. He was a veteran of the Korean War.  Surviving:  daughter, Rebecca Porter of Sandyville; sisters, Lillian Gross of St. Albans, Debra Slack of Fredericksburg, Va.; half-sisters, Ruth White and Erma Lee Lavender, both of Columbus, Ohio and Opal of Florida.  Service was held Tuesday at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. Tom Jeffries officiating.  Burial was in Independence Cemetery, Sandyville.
