Information: AGNES POLK, 80, LOSES LIFE IN BURNING HOME - Mrs. Agnes Rector Polk, 80-year old widow of the late Clarence Polk, burned to death last Thursday night when fire destroyed her five room home at Long Bottom, Ohio.  A neighbor saw the burning home and sounded the alarm and rushed to the scene.  By that time it was impossible to enter the building and since Mrs. Polk could not be found outside it was presumed that she had died inside the home.  Her body was later recovered from the ruins.  She was born at ..............Grant district on April 3, 1882 and was a daughter of William and Jane Rankin Rector.  Her husband died in 1953 and she had been living alone in the home.  The body was brought to the Chambers funeral home and relatives were notified of the tragedy.      Survivors include a son, Otmer Polk of Columbus; and five daughters, Mrs. Marie Holman of Wayne, Michigan, Mrs. Garnet Hayman of Columbus, Mrs. Mabel Whitney of East Liverpool, Mrs. Roberta Richbloom of East Liverpool, and Mrs. Gladys Lightfritz of Columbus.  The funeral service was held at the Chambers funeral home Sunday afternoon with Rev. Paul Bell officiating and the burial was in the Ravenswood cemetery.
