Information: G. E. Poling was born February 14, 1871 and departed this life May 15, 1922, aged 51 years, 3 months, and 1 day.  He was married to Addie Ramsey, March 19, 1896 and to this union was born eleven children, eight of whom survive him, namely, James, Edgar, Dessie, Beecher, Amy, Dollie, Hazel and Reva.  He is also survived by his wife, father, a step-mother, two brothers and one sister.  He leaves a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss.  Brother Poling gave his heart to God May 1921 and united with the Goshen Baptist Church and was baptized June 12, 1921 by the writer.  He lived a faithful member of this church until death.  Brother Poling was a good christian man and was loved by all who knew him.  He will be greatly missed by the church and community.  Funeral services were conducted by the writer after which the body was laid to rest in the Click cemetery, there to await the resurrection morn.
