  <p>Information:      Curtis Kevin Poling, formerly of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, was called to the Lord on September1, 2007, at Lafayette General Medical Center, Lafayette, La., following a brief illness.  Kevin was born in Parkersburg on January 31, 1960, to J. Howard and the late Virginia Johns Poling.  He is survived by his father and stepmothe, J. Howard and Willadeen Parsons Poling of Ripley; sisters, Aleta Ruark of Phoenix, Ariz., Karen and her husband, Doug Weber, and Jeanne Carmichael of Florence, SC; seven nieces and nephews, Trisha (John) Granger of Raleigh, NC, Chris (Sheri) Weber of Blacklick, Ohio, James (Ramsie) Simmons f McKinney, Texas, Tonia (Carmen) Monachelli of Florence, SC, Matt (Jennifer) Carmichael of For Bragg, NC, currently serving in Iraq, and Brandy Ruark of Phoenix, AZ; and his fiancee, Misty Bertrand, and her daughters, Starla and Laura, of Melville, LA.  Kevin was employed by St. Landry Parish District 5 Road Commission.  Kevin attended First United Pentecostal Church, Melville, LA, and Landmark Penteostal Church, Lafayette.   He will be sadly missed by his family and the friends he made in Louisiana.   The family is grateful for the assistance from his niece, Trish Granger, R.N. and appreciates the tender and professional care extended to Kevin by the staff of Lafayette General Medical Center.  We have been profoundly touched by the acts of kindness experienced from the Louisiana community.  The family invites you to participate in honoring Kevin and remembering his life.  Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept 7, at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley.  Funeral srvice will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Vail Funeal Home.  Burial will follow in Goshen Church Cemetery, Kentuck. </p>
