Information: Arnold A Boggess, 91, of Hurricane died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, after a short illness.  He was a native of Jackson County and a 59 year resident of Hurricane.  Arnold was a retired heavy equipment (bulldozer) operator, a 54 year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 132, and a charter member of VFW Post 9097.  He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving his country with the 709th Tank Battalion Company C throughout Europe as a tank driver.  Preceding him in death were his wife of fifty years, Grace (Casto) Boggess; his parents, Addie and Lessie (Koontz) Boggess; and brothers, Willard, John, Hillard, Elbin, and Leo Boggess.  He is survived by his daughters Rebecca Simmons of Orange Park, FL, and Sarah Lee McCallister of Hurricane; son, Christopher Boggess of Fort Wayne, IN; brothers, Windell Boggess of Rochester, PA, and Freeman Boggess of Ripley; sisters, Mary Kellar of South Charleston and Ida Mae Moore of Hendersonville, TN; and four grandchildren.  Service at Allen Funeral Home, Hurricane.
