Information: Former Charleston High School principal Rexford Plymale died Saturday at the VA Medical Center in Huntington after a long illness.  He was 83.  In his lengthy career as an educator, Plymale served as principal of Thomas Jefferson and Horace Mann Junior High Schools, as a professor of education at the University of Charleston and as a teacher in Logan and Wayne counties.  Plymale was born in Wayne County and graduated from Buffalo High School and Marshall University.  He received his master's degree at Duke University.  He served in the Army's 30th Division in World War II.  He belonged to the Baptist Temple in Charleston, and was a Mason and Shriner.  He was also a member of the Grandparents Club, Charleston, the West Virginia Secondary Principals Association and the American Legion.  He was preceded in death by his wife, former Ripley resident, Pearl Boggess Plymale.  Surviving:  daughter, Judy Munchmeyer of Parkersburg; sisters, Eleora Burgess of Wayne, Julia Viers of Kenova; brother, Donald P. Plymale of Ceredo; four grandchildren.  Service was Tuesday at Wilson Funeral Home, Charleston, with the Rev. Donald Fish officiating.  Burial with Masonic rites was in Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley.
