Information: MILLWOOD RESIDENT DIES SUDDENLY - Roger Owen Pinnell, 58, of Millwood, was dead on arrival Saturday evening at Jackson General Hospital. He was born in Topeka, Kansas, July 14, 1921, a son of the late William Lloyd and Olevia May Beckwith Pinnell. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Seabees, a heavy equipment operator and a farmer. He was a member of Operating engineers, Charleston Local 132; A F & A M Lodge 54, Cottageville and Jackson Chapter No. 48, Ravenswood; Dowell Commandry No. 28 KT, Ravenswood; Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 16, Cottageville, Shriner and member Nemesis Temple, Parkersburg. Survivors include his wife, Gail Kiser Pinnell; son, Capt. Ivan Pinnell of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one daughter, Latricia McCoy of Cottageville; one brother, William of Ravenswood; two sisters, Mrs. Jo Ann Hoffman of Cottageville and Mrs. Virginia Hogsett of Ripley; and two grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday at Casto Funeral Home. Burial was in Jackson County Memorial Gardens, with Masonic graveside rites.
