Information: Harry Frederick Pierson, 57, of Guadalajara, Mexico, formerly of Ripley, died Thursday in the M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas, following a long illness.  Pierson was born in Charleston, a son of the late Charles and Ada Bachtel Pierson.  He was a member of the Episcopal Church in Ripley, a Navy veteran of World War II and a retired postmaster with the Ripley Post Office.  Surviving: brother, John Pierson, Fairplain; stepbrothers, George F. Rollins, Sandyville, Ardan Rollins, Charleston, Herman Rollins, Circleville, Ohio, Jim Rollins, Baltimore, Md.; stepsisters, Mrs. Dolly Frye of Montpelier, Ohio, Mrs. Faye Brand, Wanda, Minn.; nephews, William A. Hooper, San Antonio, Texas, and Charles Pierson of Ripley; nieces, Kathleen Parker of Fort Myers, Fla., and Lavonne Boggess, Ripley.  He was preceded in death by a sister.  Services were conducted Sunday in the Fairplain Union Church with the Rev. Carl Chambers officiating.  Burail was in the Fairplain Cemetery.  Casto Funeral Home, Evans, was in charge of arrangements.
